West Long Branch was officially established as a borough in 1908. This quaint shore town was originally known for summer cottages and Monmouth College (now known as Monmouth University). Today this small suburb town is home to over 8,000 residents in 2,500+ households¹. West Long Branch is primarily made up of single family homes and a few smaller townhouse communities.

West Long Branch is just under 3 sq. miles¹ and borders Eatontown, Oceanport, Ocean Township & Long Branch. Residents enjoy many conveniences including being only 2 miles from the beach and a mile away from Monmouth Park Horse Race Track.

School Info

West Long Branch residents have the unique opportunity of watching a child start their first day of Kindergarten to receiving a Masters degree at Monmouth University, all within the same town. Shore Regional High School is a public school located next to Franklin Lake Park that includes students from 3 neighboring towns, Oceanport, Monmouth Beach & Sea Bright. There are Jewish and Catholic private schools located in town too.
